use a remote to control your axim

Hi, I sometimes have my axim hooked up to my stereo system... it works great and all but i really hate having to walk accross the room to change the song so i need some kind of program that will allow me to use my Spare TV remote to do basic functions like play/pause, fast forward

and no i dont wanna use voice to accomplish this lol...

ben searching for years on how to do this but no success

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to use a spare IR Remote to control your PPC via the IR port?

AFAIK, there's nothing like this available. The closest possibility is to control your PPC via PC.

Remote Display is cool, just slower then you would think.
Also found out you cannot save (copy/paste too) files when AS Remore Display is in use.

If the screen is in your line of sight and easily visible, you could use a mouse.

Another reason for the remote IR control...

I can get an IR control interface for my G35's steering wheel stereo controls from PAC (vol +/-, next/prev track, etc.). People are getting this for their IPOD's. It sure would be nice to use those controls for the X50v.

I would go for the Bluetooth keyboard method. It's probably the most reliable.

These steps should work to control your axim remotely:
-Buy a Wireless IR Keyboard
-Map all the controls of your player to different keys of the Keyboard
-Take your universal remote and record the IR signals being sent from the keyboard for each of the different functions.
-Now use your universal remote to control the axim.
