X50v touchscreen unresponsive on daily powerup

Every morning I turn on my Axim and the screen is dim and the touchscreen is unresponsive (however all buttons work.) If I continue to wait it will eventually go to its powersave mode where the lighting is almost complete off (also note, I cannot turn the unit off when it is in this condition.) However, as soon as it turns itself off I can power the unit up and everything works as expected (i.e., the touchscreen becomes responsive, the lighting's correct, etc...). I've tried both soft and hard resets with no change in behavior. Note that if I wait too long between the auto shutdown and re-powerup the behavior is as it was at first.

The only thing I've installed is a bluetooth keyboard of which may be the culprit, but that seem really odd since bluetooth is off in all cases.

Is this a defected in hardware or software? Sounds like a software conflict, but it's hard to tell...

you could always try using the unit for awhile without the BT keyboard software installed :)

If that is not the problem, maybe any other software?

If still you get the problem, try contacting dell for a replacement unit :)

Nope, uninstalling the bluetooth keyboard made no difference. Meaning that waiting overnight still produces the same effect in the morning. I've heard that the AXIM turns itself on at midnight to performs some maintenance (is this true or just rumor?) If this is true perhaps some program is flaking out. I wish there was a log to examine (similar to windows system logging). Any other thoughts on what could be causing this behavior?
