hard button behavior changed on me

at some point in the last couple days (had 2 hard resets) the hard buttons changed behavior on me...

they used to work even though the power was on, but now i actually have to turn the power on in oder to get any of the buttons to be recognized.

is this a setting? and if so how do i switch it? not sure actually which i like better but was wondering what had happened..

thanks
darrin

Look at the power settings. You can set whether the unit should power up when any button is pressed. Even if the settings are correct, changing the and putting them back may fix the problem by rewriting the settings to the registry.
