When I ordered last week the hint was gone. I ordered. This weekend the parcel arrived. It included a german manual but an English CD and an English Axim.
Furthermore I could not switch it on after I've charged it. Only after removing the battery for 1,5 hours I could switch it on.
Now I'm not sure if I should replace it. Could there occur problems with german software if I install it on the english WM5? For instance if I want to synchronize it with a German WinXP and Office.
Is there anybody with a German X51v? Is it already available? Is it possible to replace the English WM5 with the German one without loosing warranty?
Thanks, noox

Hello,
I have the Axim 51v for quite some time now. I did not even notic that it was not available in German.
The Axim 51v that I have is completely in German. Meaning German Windows, everything. I also did not have any problems with using the PDA out of the box.
I do syncronize it with the Office 2003 at the office (laptop) and it works just fine.
What I did notice was that some updates on the Dell Site are for English only and will not install. Since I do not have any problems working with the 51v, I was not planning on updating it anyways for now. If the updates contain any real advantages, that could be an issue, but then I would expect a language-correct update from Dell to be released.
Send me an PM or email if you have any questions - I live in Cologne so no time difference ;)
Greetings,
Andreas
