Can the people with the memory card issues please read.
Can everyone who is experiencing issues with lost memory cards / white screen of death at power up please reply to this thread with the type of card (CF or SD), make (Sandisk, Panasonic etc.), model (Ultra, Pro, X48 etc.) and speed rating (30x, 66x etc.). Try and be very specific and also list both SD and CF if you have them both installed at the same time.
I want to see if there is any correlation here. TIA.

CF card disappearing with SANdisk, Jessops, Lexar, Viking sizes 128Mb,256Mb,512Mb,1Gb,2GB
SD card NOT disappearing (yet) with simpletech 256Mb and Integral 1Gb
No WSOD (yet)
Power on problem - I have a feeling this comes more when I have larger (higher power required) cards in, but no true testing

What are the speed ratings of your cards? I feel it is a speed issue that is at play here. TIA.

Lexar 256 MB CF, "4x" USB enabled model. When you power off the Axim, then power on, the card disappears.

I have the following:
CF: Sandisk 1GB, I think it's 1x speed since I bought it when 1GB cards were about 3-5 months old on the market.
SD: Sandisk 256MB, again I think it's 1x speed, purchased by work back in early 2003.
I've had no problems with the SD card itself. I do get CF card dropout problems like a lot of other people.
I don't get the White Screen of Death. Though sometimes when I turn it on, it does stay a white screen for about 15-30 seconds. I attribute this more to the slow startup problem (and issues with ODclient).

If my pda does an auto off with the hold button on I will get the white screen when I try to sync. Although my pda seldom gets a chance to do that without the wifi on. So there could be some relation there.

I'm using a SanDisk 512MB, not sure of speed or anything, it's just the cheap blue one. there's a number AX0507WG on the back if it means anything.

SanDisk 1GB SD
SanDisk 4GB CF
Usually the CF disappears but I have had the SD drop out.
Soft reset brings it back.

I have a SanDisk SD ultra II (don't know the speed on those) w/ 1g. Havn't lost it yet.
On the other hand, I have a SanDisk ultra II 256 mb CF card that has randomly disapeared . . .
And a Kingston 2G CF card(50X) that has randomly disapeared.
And I have had 'won't turn on' issues since the upgrade to wm5.
Dell claims it's my device. They are sending me another. I doubt it will help, but what ever floats their boat.

SD 1gig ATP 60x
CF 512K Lexar 12x
My CF cards disappears after a couple of hour of inactivity,
My SD card disappears may once every 2-3 weeks.
Both reappears after soft reset.
Had white screen once, taking off the cradle after charging overnight. Soft reset brought it back. Also on the same day, got several 'no turnons' with the power button.
I did Hard Reset after this and have not had the white screen or problem turning on since then.
But disappearing CF and SD cards are an ongoing issue with my x51v...tried Citanic's fix with the PNPUPLOAD thing, but did not help me.
