Hi EngrPaul,

I was able to setup bluetooth by removing Windcom drivers (see http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=3163 for instructions on how to do it). Once I uninstalled them I used Daniel's tutorial and it worked. So give it another try.

PS Apologies for some duplications to previous post.

Hi all,

it's been a while, but I managed to get my bluetooth to work on my X51v (Rom version A01), with activesync (version 4.0.0). Unfortunately, I do not have details on how I managed to get to this point. Basically, by trying and retrying, uninstalling and reinstalling activesync, removing and re-establishing partnerships.....

The most useful part of the information may be that the above combination of X51v + Activesync(4.0.0) *CAN* work.

You know it's time to cheer when -miraculously- the X51v tells you that available services on the PC include "activesync" instead of the previously mentioned "serial port"

By the way, if anybody knows why this difference between available services "serial port" and "activesync" occurs, I'm interested. You never know when this next hard-reset is required :(
