AXIM X51 and ActiveSync 4.0/4.1 Will Not Sync

I work for a school district and I have been trying to configure a new Dell Axim X51 that shipped with ActiveSync 4.0 for the better part of a day now. I need some help.

The user with the handheld uses Windows XP SP2, Outlook 2003 SP2, and ActiveSync 4.0 (and I have tried 4.1). He has redirected "My Documents" and pulls several settings from various GPOs applied through AD to his system.

Currently, ActiveSync will attempt to sync by will hang on the synchronizing screen. I have tried the following:

1. Repair Outlook
2. Reinstall ActiveSync
3. Remove/Reinstall Outlook
4. Remove/Reinstall ActiveSync
5. Re-image computer
6. Remove user from all PC and User GPOs

There are several threads already about this topic. Please do a search. :)

It happened to me as well. What I do is follow this

1. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...c/default.mspx

2. If you have firewall, disable it. I have Sygate (set enable all as well) don't work. Close or Remove Sygate does work


Those are two step that works for me.
