Axim x50v hanging on Dell screen after not wanting to turn on

Hi,

I was playing around with my x50v and decided to install the Tengo Keyboard trial from tengo.net.

I installed and everything and got the usual "This program might not work because it is made for older Windows" I pressed ok and the install required a soft reset.

I soft resetted and the x50v never turned back on. After fiddling with it for 10 minutes (changed battery, put on cradle...) it did turn on but stayed on the Dell screen and still is now. It has been another 10 minutes approx.

Anyone got a solution? I don't want to hard reset!

Thanks

Try a "Fake" Hard Reset: Initiate a Manual Hard Reset and when the screen asks you to press the contacts button to confirm the Hard Reset choose to cancel the Hard Reset by pressing the Mail button.

If this does not work you will probably have to do a real hard Reset. If so I hope you have Sprite backup.

Nothing :(

I have the default backups from the built-in utility. TenGO sucks!

Well, it looks like a “Hard Reset” unless another member can add another solution.

I also tried TenGO, but decided to go with Resco Keyboard Pro {V.4.35} & I have been very satisified.

Just did the hard-reset, and everything restored perfectly :D.

I like the fact that TenGO only has 6 keys! I'll email them to see if they are aware of the problem

One more thing, do you know if it's possible to let activesync resync all the data as of the day of the hard reset?

Because when I was back up and ran activesync, it deleted all the mails from my desktop whch were not on the backup!

If you did not back up I don’t know anyway to recover lost data.
