Who Is Upgrading To WM5?

Hi all just curious as to who is upgrading to WM5?

I have an Axim x50v and it works SOO WELL atm never encounter any types of problems whatsoever...therefore I am hesitant to upgrade...will the upgrade be worth it?

The main reason I would wanna upgrade is for the new memory allocation whatever is called...which will give me more RAM...but then I never had a problem with a shortage of RAM anyways.

What to do...What to do...

Anyways back to my original question...who is upgrading?

My CDs are in transit, but I won't upgrade until I hear reports from others. :)

I will be holding off on upgrading untill the majority of the bugs/issues are solved. I am more for productivity rather then further and every changing aggravation.

In the past, MS is known for changing software and the direction there of without notice. Seen some developers get caught with their pants down a few times already.

I'm in the really happy range. I may upgrade in a year or two, to sooth my urge to purchase a new unit. I guess I could be convinced otherwise if the reviews are knock-down stellar.

MS's history for 'Crash & Burn OS upgrades' make me hestitant - I'll live vicariously thru the successes and failures of the early adoptees first.

The only thing that I find even marginally interesting is Mobile Word - as anything has got to be better than Pocket Word and its failure to maintain formatting. The rest of the 'features' don't really apply to my use of the PDA.

The failure of the new OS to be backward compatible to current software, to gain a dodgy ActiveSync (just when I've just got the one I have running smoothly) and to find users are still stuck with a crappy 3 year old Desktop PIM as the portal to the OS are definitely not in the upgrade's favour either.

My concern is not so much with MS but with pass experience with dell's upgrades of OS's. I will wait for a while and see how other X50V users fare with the upgrade. My X51V is purring like a kitten laping up cream at the moment and I see no pressing need to install the upgrade....but I will be watching to see how things go.

i'm upgrading as soon as i get the CD. I love those people who say they will wait so that they can hear about all the bugs. If your upgrading ASAP keep quiet and watch their cds turn into dust!

I will definately be upgrading. I'm bored with my Axim and look forward to the change. If there are problems, we'll get through them just like we always have. The more of us that are complaining and talking about the problems, whether they are operator error or actual problems, the quicker we'll have them solved.

The X51v shipped with the upgraded OS so there is nothing for you to upgrade to or to wait and see as you are already there.

I am going to upgrade, as I have been holding off doing a hard reset anyway to move data and free up space, so it seems like a good time.

I am in no hurry to upgrade. Too many delays so there must have been problems.

Mine works soo well atm and I just don't look forward to re-installing and setting everything up again. It's not just the re-istalling of the programs it's the settings for each and every program you install that is time consuming. I think I will hold up until DELL comes out with a AXIM phone edition. I am just VERY satified with my x50v right now!
