Question BT Dialer

Has anyone been able to configure a BT dialer with a motoral e 815 phone. What dialer program are you using? Is there a special dailing sting needed. All I want is to use my Axim v51 to dial from outlook contacts. Help please................

Worried Confused about your question...

I'm a little confused about your question, It soundes like your trying to use your ppc as a phone via bt enabled cell phone? Or is it my assumption that your trying to use your BT enabled phone as a modem so your ppc can dial an isp and start surfing the web? (I don't have the e 815, but i have the motorolla v710 and after pairing the device with my axim an adding it as a dial up network, i just go to bt manager in the axim and double click the icon and it takes you through a few steps putting in ISP username/password/telephone #...
If I am totaly off topic sorry!
If I am right but am not clear lemme know!

yes, dialing a number that is in my PDA (tapping the contact) and it will dial it on my phnoe. I had a palm T5 that would do it, but I had to add a string +mode=2. The palm also had a built in autodialer that would pair with my BT phone. The axim v51 does not have this program. I've tried several dialer programs with no luck....what am I missing

Lets try again and sorry if it's confusing. All my contacts and phone numbers are in my PDA. What I want to do is open a contact in my PDA and touch the contact number, then have the number dialed on my phone. I had a Plam T5 that had this progran included....Thanks if you can help

BT dialer

Hey guys

I could do this on my ipaq with pocket informant. As I remember it, a did'nt have to configure anything, the devices just had to be paired.

I never used it that much, because my phone could not handle a connection with the ppc and a bluetooth headset at the same time (I never used much time trying to find a solution)

My first post in this forum - just switched from ipaq 4150 to X50v, something good can come out of a broken screen. Looking forward to be a part of this forum :)

regards/ dresen

my X50v already does this. Just tap and hold on the contact and select dial via bluetooth from the drop down menu. It will then give you a couple of options including dial now. If your doesnt do this, there is a third party app... http://www.vmobilesoftware.com/bluetooth_dialer.htm will do this.

My only hang up is my X50v wont let me use my bt headset during the call.

UPDATED: Well I just found out that I can get my BT headset to work as long as I tap the call button on the headset as its dailing. (not automatic but better than nothing) If anybody has a better and easier solution let me know.

There's a "Dial via Bluetooth" option when you hold down on your contact in your contacts list in WM2003SE. Basically helps you dial a phone number with your BT enabled phone instead of fumbling through the phonebook.

However, when I upgraded to WM5, that option did not exist anymore, nor did many of the other functions that I had before such as file transfering. One of the major reasons why I downgraded back to wm2003se.

So to sum it up, I don't think WM5 users can utilize this (upgraded x50's, or x51's) feature because the OS doesn't provide the BT profiles or the options to support such.
