To x50v AND x51v owners ONLY. Which one do you prefer?

Please reply to the poll only if you own BOTH x50v and x51v. Please DON'T vote if don't own BOTH

I am just wondering, which one do you prefer after using both devices? Who actually bought the x51v but later decided to stick with their x50v?

It's the same PDA! this is why it's called x51 (read: ver. 5.1) not x60

I have only owned the X50V. I am sure there won't be many in here who have owned both yet. I've had mine almost a year now and as long as it keeps serving me, I'll keep it.

I have both and the X50V wins hands down because it works under wm2003, it has a real bluetooth stack, syncs wirelessly, turns on when needed, doesn't launch activesync by itsself, doesn't drain the battery like crazy overnight, and maintains contact with its storage cards.

Fix all that crap and it will be a different story.

I voted for the X50v; but only for now.
Once compatible softwares are available I'll switch over to the Axim X51v.

Will stick with the X51v because:

1. I like the way WM5 adds programs, can get that with X50 with WM5 of course, personally I don't believe the X50 will do well with WM5, I'll sell my X50 when I'm confident with the X51v

2. I like the memory configuration, like a PC, memory for programs (of the 49mb I have 23 left), memory for storage (of the 195mg I have 163 left)

3. All my programs are in memory storage, all my videos, music, word, excel are on the storage cards, SD and CF. With the X50v I had some in BIS and some on cards. Not Neat.

Only Negative with the X51v so far, all my Themes do not work, I can use the 3 themes shipped with the X51, then I add my own photo, but can't change bar colors, text colors, etc. I'm sure someone will write a program for this soon, but not right now.

Anyway, great machine, will soon have it grafted into my puny brain.. IE Locutus
:)

After hearing several horror stories, I am glad that I decided to stay with my x50v.

Since the X50 and X51 are virtually identical, what makes you think this?

Well, I inferred that he prefers the X51v over the X50v partly because he feels that the X50v won't handle WM5 as well as the X51v. Doesn't seem to make sense, so perhaps I misunderstood.
