Removing Active sync, restarting the computer to make sure the registry was rewritten, and reinstalling Active sync allowed my email to finally be synched. It seems to be working well now.
Welp all is good. So far i like wm05. its the incompatibilites that i hope i dont start getting as i try to get it close to where i had it before i updated :) Still BIS isnt nearly as slugish as i thought it would be and it keeps a consistent 20+MB of ram free for use. (sadly that is kinda low. Windows needs to go on a diet.)

I followed the dell instructions to the T and my Axim x50v is WM5 now which is great in my opnion however with all software i have only one major issue! My USB to activesync wont sync whats wrong with it? My Bluetooth and IRDA syncs perfectly and thats how i have been installing the software! I reinstalled everything i even installed SP2, also i used a different cradle, and even switch around the ports still nothing :(... any help?

Plus note for lag the issue once u start WM5 it take 1 min or two min for loading the WM5 into the RAM and then WM5 runs at normal speed however there is little lag here and there, i recommend using a program that actually closes the programs, i am however dissapointed that the same amount of RAM is still avalibale to Me i thought there would a be a little increase =\....
Well the first of the software issues with me. Mines a Mobile Gaming Rig and the first game i went to install was Stuntcar Extreme. I saw around here that it doesnt work on the x51v and now it doesnt on the x50v. says it isnt a valid pocket pc app. oh well lets hope they give us a fix. i sent them an e-mail.

ya i sware it made Quake Mobile run better. hmm. But the incompatibilites. of SE-VGA and stuntcar are kinda pushing me to go back untill some fixes are made.. we shall se.

So far so good, I did the upgrade, BIS issue is not an issue, as it is the way it is suppoed to be, things are fast, plenty of memory and now it is time to start installing apps.
The 1st thing installed by default and that is Pocket Controller.

Well even though i love the new setup i just had 2003 setup perfict so i think im going back untill a few more bugs are worked out. (seams in a few apps the soft buttons dont go awway and i cant click on the area of the screen the game/appp has a button.) still everything about 5.0 is sweet. just needs a bit of tuning and time..

I really wanted an excuse to hard reset anyway, install clean, remove certain programs I seldom use, moving things like SP Diary to SD etc... lean / trim. I figure if my body can't be, maybe my Axim can be

Mine show it syncs but I get nothing. Outlook shows all contacts and appointments, but Pocket Informant or the default PIM on the X50v does not see it.
