Daylight savings time...again!

My Axim X50 and the PC are both set correctly for GMT-6 Central US. Adjust for daylight savings time is checked. The time zone is correctly set in Outlook and the DST adjustment is checked. "Synchronize mobile clock on connecting" (Active Sync) has been checked and unchecked today. Multiple soft resets and reconnects. The Axim has stayed an hour off. I liked the suggestion about just changing the timezone to GMT-7 Mountain US, but cancelled when I got the warning that all of my appointment times would be affected. Been there, done that when I once tried manually changing the time. A whole lot of appointments got messed up. Lots of time spent reconstructing my calendar.

Is there a way to fix this that won't screw up my calendar? ?A hard reset? If not, is there some way to export the calendar items and import them that won't lose labels, recurring appt info etc?

Start by unchecking the box to sync the clock on connect. Then make sure your desktop and Axim are set correctly. Try that out for a while just to see if one or the other changes. If only your Axim changes then you know it is in the settings for the Axim. If your desktop changes, then you can look there. At a minimum it will narrow it down for you. Another source of problems can be the "sync with the internet" settings on your desktop. I have found they can be a little touch and go sometimes. Good Luck!~

Thanks! Could you clarify a bit? "set correctly". Do you mean the time, which is incorrect on the Axim? Should I reset the time on the Axim manually? Will that fritz my appointments? Synch with the internet? Think that is NA. I am not using my Axim to do anything on the internet, and don't connect with a server. I'm synching contacts, calendar and tasks with a desktop only. Is that what you meant?

Ok. Superweirdness. ASynch Options: I unchecked the Sychronize the mobile clock on connect. I had tried that yesterday without success. I put it in the cradle, let it synch, and still no time change. ASynch: File: Connection settings. Just to be sure the Allow Network wasn't checked. It was cool. I cancelled and closed. I just looked down and the Axim time is now correct. Opened ASynch options, and the check is back in Synchronize mobile clock?!

Could this be a Halloween thing?
