WM5 & Outlook 2003 Not Sync'ing

Upgraded today to WM5 and followed every detail, removed partnerships, deleted everything, I did not even back anything up, because I wanted to start 100% clean.

The Sync with 4.0 goes well or so it seems, however the Axim is not picking up anything from outlook 2003, no appointments, no tasks.

I added PI to see if using it as default PIM helped, but it also is not picking up outlook 2003. I was working with WM 2003 SE.

Any ideas?

Mad "

The same thing is happening to me. After a "synch" I get the "!" that says there was a problem. When I view details, I get a very informative message that there was a problem and I get Support Code:85010014. You can sure tell this is a MickeySoft product! Any one have any luck?

I just did the following:

Un/reinstalled Office 2003 (I plan to do Office SP1 and SP2 after activesync is setup)

Un/reinstalled ActiveSync 4.0.

I just hard reset my device to get rid of the existing partnership (don't know how otherwise).

Synchronizing is now allowed.

May have something to do with Office 2003 SP2, is that what you guys are using?

I upgraded as well to WM5, and had sam eissue, if you go to microsoft website, and look up windows mobile area, you will see a troubleshooting with activesync 4.0. there is a a workthrough if you have a firewall, which is part of the problem. I did learn that if I shut off my desktop, that the next time I restart, there is a chance that the issue will reooccur and you hve to follow the steps again, This is very annoying. over all I was not happy with WM5 and I reset my PDA back to WM203. Among the issues were that many of the applications I had did not wrok on WM%, ie pocket quicken.

I had a similar problem, and looked under my network places when the axim was plugged in. I saw an entry and that had the firewall turned on. once it turned it off voila :)

Now my downgrade can commence.
