Roll back WM 5 upgrade on X50V?

Hi all,

The upgrade CD for my Dell X50V is finally shipped according to Dell. Since I have to test applications on both 2003 SE and 5.0, I was wondering if it would be possible to make a backup of the existing ROM image and revert back to 2003 SE for testing? Does the upgrade tool on the Upgrade CD allow one to do that? Or are there any third party tools which can backup/restore the ROM image?.

According to the Dell website there is a ROM image that will revert Windows Mobile 5 back to WM2003 SE. It is in the download section of X50.

You can download on support.dell.com utility to downgrade WM5 to WM2K3SE.

Thanks to all those who responded so quickly. I am going to search for the toll on the Dell site. Does anyone know if the upgrade to 2005 is availabe on the site as a download?

Hello,

I am unable to find the tool to rollback the upgrade on the support.dell.com site. All I get from there is some QVGA update and the driver for the Dell executive bluetooth keyboard. Can anyone post the link if they have it? Would be greatful.
