I ran into an interesting issue with this - wonder if anybody knows about this. First off, confirmed fully working on Dell Axim x51v with Windows Mobile 6 - Asukal's No.5 installs properly and enables Japanese font display.
However, it breaks SSL connectivity with Exchange - it starts complaining that the SSL certificate does not match the hostname. Used the following procedure:
1. Hard reset.
2. Install self-signed cert for Exchange onto PPC.
3. Set up ActiveSync to sync to Exchange.
4. Perform sync; confirmed working.
5. Soft reset.
6. Install Asukal's No.5.
7. Soft reset.
8. Attempt sync with ActiveSync: error (I forgot the #) - SSL cert does not match hostname.
9. Set locale setting to English - US. Soft reset.
10. Test ActiveSync: not working again.
11. Remove Asukal's No.5. Soft reset.
12. Test ActiveSync: works properly again.
Anybody have any idea what this could be? Note that this is WM6 only - this used to work perfectly on WM5.

Thanks very much for any input.

Why not import a Japanese PocketPC phone? The SoftBank H01HT supports (literally) every frequency in the world, including GSM/UMTS, and is a really nice device to boot. Unless, of course, you're looking for a contract... (sorry, not a useful reply in terms of answering your question though).
