From German A02 to English A05

Hi,

is there any way of flashing an X50v running the German A02 with the English A05?

I tried lots of different methods (e.g. Hex-Editor, aximupdate.exe) but did not get it to work.

Does anyone have a method that really works?

first downgrade to a00 or a01. patch englisch a05 rom with first 32byte from german a02.
then copy modified a05-rom to german-update folder and rename like the german file.
then update.
the best is to update from german a00 to english a01 and save it to *.ris. then you can change back to german if you want.

well, how do i downgrade to a01 or a00?
my device had german a02 preinstalled, so i do not have a backup of an earlier version...

ok, played a little more with the hey editor, figured out where the version information is located in the .img and now the flasher is running :D
