WM5 - Is there a way to get rid of the WiFi/Bluetooth Bar on the today screen?

that thing is incredibly annoying and a total waste of space for anyone who's got a halfway decent today screen plug-in!

why on earth did they not include that in the today screen options? anyone know of a registry hack, or any other way of removing it?

This is fairly Lame, but it works, I haven't gotten rid of the line above the icons, but I'm sure there is a way.

Got to Windows/Startup directory, move the shortcuts of the items you don't want on the today screen to the Windows/Start Menu/Programs directory.
For instance on my today screen the CommLoader and WiFi show in the lower right bar, see attachment, if I move them out of the Startup directory they won't be on my today screen after a soft reset, I can access them by putting them in the Resco Plugin on the Today screen or by just loading them from the Program Menu.

I'm afraid that that's part of the OS now and it can't be disabled because the bottom bar is used by the system for other tasks such as notifications, short cuts, etc.

No, but Wisbar Advance Desktop can hide this and the bottom bars also.
