X51v return policy

I continue to have chronic problems with my 1 week old X51v. The second time I attempted to turn it on today, it required a soft reset. After coming on it would not turn off. This is without any apps loaded.

It looks like Dell's policy on PDA returns during the first 21 days is 15% restocking & buyer pays shipping. If I had simply changed my mind about the purcahse I could see the point of this policy. However since the X51v is defective & obviously not ready for primetime, Dell should provide a full refund & pay shipping.

Anyone have experince on returning an X51v for a full refund with prepaid shipping by Dell?

Are they paying for return shipping?

I've never been charged 15% to return stuff. It's been a while, maybe the policy has changed.

Next question: what other software do you have on the X51? I had issues too but as soon as I got rid of the non compatiable software, it been rock solid.

What i know is they send you a box prepaid by DHL or Fedex and then you put it in and bring it to the nearest post office and it'll be sent back to Dell.

Are they exchanging it? Or are they giving you a refund? I might be returning my x51v if I don't liek it so I want to know everything about the return policy I possibly can. Id on't want to pay a restocking fee or return shipping! How do I get around it? Also.... i read that you can't return if you have installed programs on it... is this true? What if I just uninstall the programs? Is that a way of getting around it, or will dell find out anyways?
