WTF with WM5 and activsync on X50V !?

im seeing lots of people moaning about active sync not working with the x50v after the WM5 update.
Im no exception....But how the hell have you guys got it to work? so far ive uninstalled, restarted,installed v4.0, restarted, plugged pda in cradle....and the pc and pda just sit there. Dont even try and connect. Infact ive yet to see the active sync swirling around on my pda yet, and the software doesnt even seem to support a wifi connection to sync with my pc like it use to!?!?
Ive tried the same thing with version 4.1 and 3.8 also with restarts after every stage of the process - nothing.
Someone stated about cleaning the registry. Now im not a total n00b with regards to the reg but cant find a single item in there belonging to activesync - if someone cud be so kind to tell me what i need to delete?

Also how is it possible to revert back to WM2003 when my pc and pda cant even see each other???!
How is everyone else reverting back!! :( :( :( :(

Yes, I have just had the same problem. Spent ages searching through the forums for an answer.

Whilst writing this reply, I am succesfully (after WM5 upgrade!) sync-ing.

Had a bit of a brain wave, not sure why yet, but its working..

Turn off your firewall software.......

4.0 crashed on me everytime.

I installed 4.1 and it work perfectly (sync everytime)

Only thing is the software screw up software "LCDStudio" that I use for my LCD connected to my pc..

Where did you get 4.1? WM5 is awesome, but Active Sync 4.0 is absolute dogsh*t.

Kapersky AV and firewaLL WILL CAUSE A CRASH OF YOUR SYSTEM i HAD TO REMOVE MINE FROM THE COMPUTER TO MAKE AS WORK.
