Real VGA now working with full icon support!

HA!!! I found the answer to my own question....I hope this helps a bunch of x51v owners who would like to use ozVGA - it is wonderful to have it finally working on my new hardware.

It turns out that x51v users need a special set of .96 files, which some one from a different discussion pointed me to.

I hope that those in this forum who have been having problems can now enjoy full icon support (with the few problems that everyone using ozvga know about) and go on working (or playing ;) )

Is the VGA discussion also relevant to Beta Player (or what used to be called beta player). I only care, personally I don't yet surf the net on the handheld, about the movies that I prepare to watch on the palm.

After i copy the trares0409.96.dll to my x50v(wince2003 A05), the icon on buttom bar of transcriber is displayed.

I dont get the speaker (volume) icon on the top bar when in OzeVGA mode. its there in sevga mode.
Might I have the wrong dll's ?

I can't take credit for this apart from the MSN messenger resource dlls which were my doing.

A guy over at xda-developers.com has worked out why the ripped 96dpi dlls weren't loading up when running in true VGA mode. It was because they weren't signed. Pop on over to xda-developers.com when you get a chance (and the site is back up) and thank the guy for his time. The thread is in the HTC Universal section.

Copy the stuff in "Windows folder files" to your Windows folder.
Run the cab file which will allow deveoper signed dlls to be loaded by the os.
Run OzVGA or edit the registry to go to real VGA mode.

Be very happy.

I haven't tested this on an X51v but it works fine on my HTC Universal which is running the same OS and was designed by the same company. I have both the iMate JASJAR and the O2 Exec and it works like a charm on both.

I am receiving an error message saying that the CAB file is not a valid WindowCE installation file.

Ideas?

When I activate OzVGA, on screen keyboard disappears.

Works on the x51v aswel...
Although the nice Blueish/Yellow keyboard is now replaced with a simple white one.

Also there are still some icons missing like the Modem Link icon,
Mobile word trows some errors when starting.

That arethe problems i enceunterd sofar.

I supose ripping the dll's from a QVGA WM5 rom would solve this.
But asfar as i know that can't be done via resco or file explorer (i tried)

I ran the ozVGA.exe without running the .cab file, and now my axim is stuck at the owner information screen after soft resetting and will not respond. How do I fix this?

A hard reset is needed i'm afraid.

OzVGA.exe only no dll files... works but no cions
OzVGA.exe with old dll files... bricked axim
OzVGA.exe with good dll files... works fine accept 1 icon

does any body of any free VGA keybords the TRue VGA works flawlessly and im lovin even though WM is PD i dont care TCMP works great with it etc etc. also does anybody kno to make wisbar advance work let me kno i dont think ill ever go back to regular VGA :)

lol i have excellent news anybody that has or had the contrast applet tweak it finally works on true vga just tried it now. everything looks vivid and more tru hope it work for u all :)

Just installed it on my X51V works GREAT, now I just gotta find some more VGA skins for WA2
