Help switching from x5 to x50

Good morning,
I have been using an x5 for about two years now and I know most of the ins and outs. At work, they purchased an x50 for me and now I have to upgrade. I am wondering what is the best way to transition from the x5 to the x50 with out losing any information. Is it as simple as unhooking the x5, uninstalling the old active sync, reinstalling the new activesync and then hooking up the x50?

For contacts and emails, to do, etc. make sure it is synced into outlook properly, then install the new activesync, sync the x50 and it will pull in the info from outlook

As far as programs and documents, copy the documents off your X5 to your pc and then copy them back to the X50 (or put them on a storage card)
