suggestion for the post originater

1. Keep updating

2. Perphas change the thread Title into something meaningful. Ie: "WM5 Here to stay with [Optimization/Fix/Tweaks]"

3. Summerize all related Optimization/Tweaks/Fix frequently and Turn this into useful information for those who want to actually use WM5.. Make it sticky

Exactly. If you check the links provided by me you will find that the cache site will depend of what is the size of your ROM, SD Card or CF Card. It seems to me that they make it variable to accomodate the different combinations of these 3 storage devices.

Well I rolled back to 2003 for my axim. I think these are really good tweaks though and wish I had seen them before. I might try once more. However there is the glaring problem that my axim sometimes won't turn on without a soft reset. This is without ANY software installed (besides what it comes with). If this problem is solved I'll jump back in with 2 feet! :approve:

I really think Dell better come through with A02 at least because these bugs are too much.

Axim is a very useful tool for us.but I think it is also a hobby to us,so we called ourself PDAFANS.We chang ONE to another os,WHY?It's our fun,we like it.So we updated to WM5,although we meet many problems,but we cannot give it up,and just rolling back.We must face to these problems and try to fix them!It our fun of Axim!

Regarding the mp3 playing problem. Well, I load up mp3 from 512MB SD or CF Fine NO problem.

He need to probably tweak around the cache a bit,

i suspect that there are not enough Primary memory available on his device.

May be, on theory i don't know this could be it.
64MB(Main Memory)- 24MB(cache) - (20-30 system)
Simply There aren't much left..

May be tweak around the cache size a little, see if making any different
( try 2024 VS 4048 VS 8096 )
