The author did not say what version he/she's running on. And problem seems to be related to filesystem access, not only Today Plugin. Resco.net did not show WM5 support on Resco File Explorer product info. However in their forum, there is statement saying, WM5 support starting RFE 2005 V5.15 and the current version is 5.20. I will ask the author of that post and report here.

I am still using version 2003. I might have to upgrade!

The today screen addin from Resco (the battery meter on it) cause the battery to drain fast making it very hot. Another Addin with this same problem is the Top Bar Battery Meter of SPB Pocket Plus. The weird thing is that SPB PP has a battery meter in the Today Screen add-in and that one does not cause any problem.
I have read somebody with the battery draining issue saying that he was using the Magic Button, I'm asuming that he was using too the battery meter of that program, but I have not confirmed this one.

BTW, if you are using a program to close not minimize applications, then Resco File Explorer will not cause any problem at all as long as you don't install the Today Screen Launcher. I have been using Resco since day one I got my x51v and I do not have any problem beside the Battery drain issue that I fixed not using the Today Screen Add-in. I have the SD Card desappearing issue once every 8 or 9 days. That's all.

It seems to me that the Device not responding issue could be relative to this battery meters problem too or something relative too to the way you are syncing and charging the device. I use a Sync-Charger USB Cable, never use the Cradle. I remember that I had the Not responding issue only the first two days when I was using the cradle. But at that time I was using too the Today Screen Launcher from Resco. So it's hard for me to say what really fixed that problem between not using that addin or not using any more the cradle.

Citanic, what would be the difference of using cradle/USB versus sync & charge cable?

there are two pins the the bottom slot that allow to charge the device as far as I know from what I have read in the net. It seems that the usb charger use one pin and the cradle use the other one. Another difference is voltage and wattage.

Rolled backed to WM2003SE this morning rather easily. Nice to have eveything working again. Not a total loss. I was on A03 and with the
rollback I'm now on A05. I'll wait 'til the kinks are worked out. Primary apps that I use and didn't work on WM2005: Navteq GPS(forced $99 upgrade is a scam!!) Advantgo (never could get it to work), MS Voice Command (never got around to messing with it on WM2005 but read it's not compatible) Bluetooth functionality (lost the ability to dial a number from contacts).
