wm5 a.02
Hi guys. i have windows mobile 5 rom A.01 on my dell x50v and i was reading all about the A.02 update from dell. But i can not find it anywhere. I search on dell's download center but nothing. Can anyone tell me where could i find the upgrade rom from A01 to A02 for windows mobile 5?

Worried hmmm
this might sound stupid, as I have been out of the country for a few months.....but what is the difference between regular, LE, and ME versions??

so should I just get the regular version since my X50V goes up to 624MHz I believe??

@ yandawg: You say that you have the X50v version. "v" means that you have VGA, not QVGA. So you need the Dell Axim X50v VGA download...

Additionally, the DELL upgrade software should normally prevent you to use the wrong version.

Profiles in ActiveSync vanishing after soft-reset
I have installed WM5 on my x50v and upgraded to ROM A02. It seems to be working fine except when I try to synchronize with my laptop after I have soft-reset my device, Activesync behaves like it is a new device and asks to set-up a partneship. Activesync indicates that my x50v has a partnership setup with another computer (which it doesn't). This problem only occurs after a soft reset, and activesync behaves normally at other times - i.e. will sync with the correct profile.

Anyone else experience this problem? It didn't occur with 2003.

Hey guys sorry if this question seems stupid...
i have a x50v ROM A05 and i would like to get the WM5 where i can get it?
and if i have to buy it from dell can you tell me what i have to ask the guys on the phone because sometime the Customer Support is a bit slow in Dell (no offense)

Or you can get it for free somewhere from 4PDA.ru, but that's warez.

Anyways, myself, i now upgraded my Dell Axim x50v to WM5 A03 (Dell's A02 seemed to contain too many bugs). My device seems to be even faster now, faster loading times, didn't really noticed any significant compaction thread issues, the performance is alot smoother, and most importantly you get to enjoy WM5 final AKU 3.5 on your device and its features like "Use high resolution" mode in IEM.
(keep in mind this is not official ROM from Dell, but a custom one made by Maglite. Only compatible with Dell Axim x50v.)
