Method to Turn off Screen of AXIM X51V?

Tried the PressHold Power button and press record button
method, did not work. I want to conserve some power while
music is playing.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

your music player should have this option.
GSPlayer
TCPMP
Media Player

all of them have this option

There is no need to press record button at the same time!
BTW all players have the screen toggle button mapping! :;)

It's the X51 - the X50 doesn't have this option but holding the power button on it does toggle the back light.

Thanks. But what I want is the sceen to be totally off instead of
just dimmed. The Mirror option in Setting-System says hold power
button and press record button at the same time. Wondering why
that did not work.

its not worth going crazy about... that means you have to completely boot up the pocket pc again. This is a process that takes me over a minute.

Alternatively, you can download this utility. You can assign it to a program button to turn off the screen when any application is running. Simply pressing the power button will bring the screen back on.

Scott, I love your .mui files to change the BT and WiFi icons. Have you found how to change them under WM5 yet? I tried to copy them to my PC to change but with the Digital signature..The original .exe files became unuseable...Hard-reset... :realmad:

PHM Tools has a ScrSaver.exe - it's only 6k!

Just push the big center button to recover your screen.

I've placed its icon on the buttom tray of the 'today' screen by means of TrayLnch.exe (12k) also from PHM Tools - all free ware :-)
