trouble connecting to my home network w/wm5 update

hmm, my home wifi network connected on my axim just fine until i upgraded.. my school's and work's network work fine, althought they don't have any encryption like my home doesn, now heres my problem with that.

I've got WEP turned on, so i select WEP and type in my key on the axim, and then have tried open and shared authentication because i'm not sure which one my network is.

However, whatever I do, my axim will attempt to connect for about 30 seconds, then prompt me that my key is incorrect, when i'm sure it is.

Any thoughts? Maybe a setting i'm overlooking?

Are you entering the key in hexidecimal format (10 or 26-characters)?

I currently have my network set to Open although I think Shared will work as well as long as the router is set the same way.

Do you have the same key active (there are four possible) on both the PPC and router?

I had the same problem, all my other PC's would connect to a new secured wifi offering I set up but the PDA would not. I solved the problem by just turning on the security feature in the standard MSHOME SSID and inserted the key and they all work fine now. I can't tell you how much time and how many 4 letter words I used before I decided not to reinvent the wheel by adding anew connection instead of just securing the one I had. Give it a try.
