Worried Is there a modem string for BT phones to allow the connection to stay alive?

Just wondering, because I know there are stand-alone programs that can ping a website every ms or something, but are there any modem strings one could enter that can do it in the background without having to run a separate program to do it? :) Thanks!

check in the settings on your mobile phone the configuration for your GPRS provider.

on my nokia n-gage original there is a setting - session mode , with the options permanant or temporary. Though on my nokia 6630 that setting is not there so I presume every connection is set to permanant. I do not have a problem with GPRS disconnecting while viewing a webpage.
