No screen saver when cradled if not in My Documents

I recently added a secure digital card to my x50v, and naturally moved all the photos I had been storing in My Documents\My Pictures onto it to free up some space. But I noticed the little photo viewer application that comes packaged with the x50v would no longer act as a screen saver when the PDA was cradled. Curious, I moved a couple pictures back into My Documents\My Photos and sure enough the screen saver was workinga again.

I tried adding a My Documents\My Photos directory to the root of the SD card. That didn't work. As I'm writing, I'm renaming the ignore_my_docs file to see if that will help. (What is this file for, anyway?)

Anyway, if anyone knows how to get this working with photos on an SD or CF card, I'd appreciate the advice.

Try deleting the ignore_my_docs file. I had my themes in My Documents folder in SD card and Today wouldn't recognized any themes, so I just went to SD card and deleted the ignore_my_docs file, it worked. I don't know exactly what purpose ignore_my_docs file is but it keeps Today from recognizing anything in My Documents folder located in either SD or CD card.

I think you nailed the purpose for the ignore_my_docs file. It tells the OS to ignore anything on that drive that looks like a My Documents folder. Otherwise it will aggregate all of the My Documents into one for certain apps - try Pocket Word or Excel. It will find the file regardless of which memory location (SD, CF or Axim) the file lives in.
