Behind the times - worth upgrading WM2003 A03 to A05?
I have not upgraded my X50V since A03. I want to wait for the dust to settle before upgrading to WM5. Is it worth doing the A05 ROM update, and what would I specifically gain from it?

Just did it a couple days ago, 3 to 5. Had to do a hard reset so might as well do it. 1st in over 1 year, dont delete things you dont know about. Not worth the upgrade though. If the 3 is working, dont mess with a good thing.
I did it last week - I use it as a time to spring clean the unit , I have upgraded the rom each time since a01.
unless your axim is critical to your work, do it, it gets rid of all the programs you have installed but don't use anymore - it does take a couple of days to get it back to the settings you like but at the same time you will be learning to use the device.
I now have a folder on my SD card with most of the cabs of the programs I like which I just copy to a temp folder and execute to get the programs installed again.

BigBit,
STAY PUT. I'm running SE with A02 on my "mid" and it's solid as a rock. Don't mess with it! WM5 is not really an upgrade and it certainly doesn't FIX anything!
I was on A03 and Happy until I tried upgrading to WM2005.
Not going to get into my disappointment with WM2005 just that I wound up rolling back to WM2003. The roll back took me to A05. Hadn't notice much difference. For me, I would be fine with A03.
I just went from A04 to A05 about two weeks ago. I was due for an Axim cleaning party anyway, and some people claimed that the new rom brought faster card speeds. I have yet to notice a difference, but I don't know that anything I do is really card intensive. If you want to upgrade, I haven't noticed any problems with A05. If you don't really feel like upgrading, I haven't noticed any significant improvements with A05. I guess the only difference is the piece of mind knowing that for once I caught up with the curve. And then everyone got a new OS. Doh!
