Mad Default DIR for installed apps?

Ok, so ive restored back to wm2003se and after just purchasing a lovely 133x SD card im installing all my apps onto this.
My problem is that everything installs into its own directory in the root of the card, instead of like wm5 where they all install in a program files folder.
How do i make my apps install into SD Card\Apps folder? ive tried copying them into the folder, and looking thru the registry to try edit there paths but it doesnt seem to be working (and ive already once made my SD Card vanish all together from windows!).

Any help on this wud b much appreciated im surely not the only person that finds 20 folders or so in the root of their card annoying? Im aware that some stuff still works by redoing the shortcuts, but for my today screen items i need to sort this out :-/

thanks in advance!

The best way to get that behaviour is to use the .CAB from the file and then run a utility called CabInstl that will allow you to select where the app is extracted too.
