Did you hard reset it before you installed the fix and after or just after you installed?

No but I did softreset just in case. You do have to hard reset to complete the install though

Okay, and to hard reset you just hold the power button and press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds at the same time right?

Ok, one wierd issue; I backed up my x51V before I installed the update and now when I try to restore, the system says the file is in WM 2003 format so I can't restore it?? How could that be possible??

Ok, I installed the ROM 4 and had the issue with my newly created backup not able to restore! The new ROM thinks it is in WM2003 format. (saw on another thread that someone else had this issue so it might be common!) Also, when resyncing my device, it hung half way through. I soft reset it and plugged it back in and everything worked ok. So far, no other issues.

Why do we need to hard reset?? I thought with WM5, future updates will not require a hard reset just like updating Win XP. What's going on?

Tells you at the very end that you must hard reset to complete the install!

Damn, I hope there is a solution to the backup problem. I just reinstalled all my programs last week and everything is working perfectly right now. If I need to reinstall everything again, I'm not going to update. That is just really stupid.
