Mad Ever seen a Axim X50 fly?

Ok...much thanks to everyone who replied to my thread "frustrated" I have tried it all it seems. I have reload Outlook 2003, I have tied it to my e-mail, I have installed AS 4.1, I have tried the detect and repair. Does anyone esle have any ideas? I do nee to try and load Outlook 2000 on my computer but other than that I am completely stumped. I am running WM2003SE for my OS. I can download programs but can't sync my calendar, contacts or tasks. I get an error box that says it can't find MS Outlook in my files. Its 4th down and I'm about to punt or take a 7 iron out of the bunker.

John, I replied to your pm. I had a similar prob and removed 03 outlook and put in 00 outlook and somehow, after hours of frustration, got it to work. I don't even know if it's b/c I downgraded or b/c I also made some other settings changes. Try 00 and see what happens.

I had this same problem a few years back with my HP handheld and it's been so long I am not sure what I did to fix it. I do rember the problem was with outlook and not activesync. It was where outlook put the files. I think I talked to a rep from MS to get it fixed but that will cost you. I would first do a search on MS website for the problem. I would also try installing active sync on another machine and trying to sync with it if you can.

Hope this helps a little

In Outlook, try this:
1. Goto FILE > NEW > OUTLOOK DATA FILE
2. Select OFFICE OUTLOOK PERSONAL FOLDERS FILE
3. Assign a unique name for the file (like 1st inital, last name) and keep it in the default folder location
4. Assign a unique name for the label. This is what you would see in Outlook
5. After it bring you back to Outlook, Click on TOOLS > E-MAIL ACCOUNTS
6. Click VIEW OR CHANGE EXISTING E-MAIL ACCOUNTS even if it's already selected
7. In the DELIVER NEW MAIL TO THE FOLLOWING LOCATION box, select your unique name and click FINISH
8. Close Outlook, and re-open.

Try the sync at this point. If it still doesn't work, you might have a 3rd party software or firewall blocking access to Outlook

Good Luck

I had the same problem about 3 months ago. Did you have another pocket pc partnership or a partnership with outlook 2000. If you did you need to delete the partnership then create a new partnership. It works right away. Go to control panel and find your partnership i think it is in the email folder. I contacted dell over the phone and they walked me through it. Hope this helps

No, but I figure if you hold it in your hand, screen side up and the button end closest to your thumb and index finger and give your wrist a quick flick and let go, the aerodynamics and weight of the device should be fairly good and enable it to fly gracefully out the window....

The charger is a different beast - not very aerodynamic, but it has this great cable attached in which to build up an arc before release. Might miss the open window, but you'll get the benefit of broken glass, too.

Neither will do anything good for the devices but gosh, it may make you feel better after doing battle with an upgrade. I don't know if Dell would consider that 'an accidental drop' for replacement, but it will give you a cheap thrill.

Try AS3.8 I think AS4.1 is for WM5 only at this time.
