Try calling Dell again, hopefully you have premium support. The extended support is definitely worth the extra cost if you are not an expert. You get to talk to an actual person in the States! I found that they were on average a great deal more informed and helpfull. I too had the same trouble but the patch to revert worked well, one other thing you must also change the actvie synch as WM2003 according to the tech rep. will not work with the new active synch. won't recopgnize or something. I also discovered that when I originally removed my synch profile this caused a problem. If you have hard reset and reverted your operating system, try removing active synch 4. and reinstall active synch 3.8? Found at either microsoft or dell. Hopefully I am not misinformed and this helps you, if not call Dell or demand a replacement unit. This will not get you back any lost files, but I assume you backed up the unit prior to the upgrade.

Do you mean it got stuck after you hard reset? Is it "stuck" at a Dell screen? if it is, just wait it out because it is actually formatting the ROM if i remember correctly

I went through this 2 days ago after upgrading to WM5.0. Attempted to go back to WM2003 after I had issues with 5.0. I called tech support and they tried to walk me through it. It failed and I had to be sent a new(refurbished) Axim. just got my replacement today.
