Some positive things about x51v !
If you guys love SNES emulation buy an X51v NOW ! Incredible with morphgear (even GBA is really good). The only downside is the battery life that I really hate.
Good job Dell and bring me one of thoses 2200M battery !

MorphGear works perfect with everygame I've tried so far, with all of the emulation modules. Perhaps you have a bad ROM. Much like patric34, I'm loving how well MorphGear runs on my x51v. Although I had to make custom virtual pads to take advantage of the VGA resolution, as the ones of the MorphGear site are either QVGA, or don't look very pleasing to the eye.
From what I understand, the x51v has GAPI video, but when I changed the Display>Driver in the Global Settings to GAPI instead of Auto, it became unstable. On Auto it works fine though.

lol, I still don't get the whole old game emulation craze. I cant stand classic games. The technology in games evolved for a reason! If you have an x51v, it has a VGA screen and a 2700g graphics accelerator with 16mb video memory. It's got specs that PSone can't even touch! So why play old games?
If you want to play old games, buy an axim x5 and update it's memory to 128mb. That is a good gameboy.

Technology advances, game quality doesn't seem to have kept up though. I think that's the main draw of emulation is to play the games that were and still are "good" games, reguardless of how flashy they are. Besides, the 2700G does a fine job of accelerating the emulation software as well as the newer stuff and VGA just so happens to be the native resolution of a lot of emulated software.

Sure, we can play the games that have come out today with lots of eye candy and all, but the content just isnt there. I can finish most modern PC games in a weekend, a real dissapointment for $40 I just spent. A lot of old SNES games though have a lot of content AND quality for what they are. Also, you can play the old games wherever you want. You are not tied down by your television set. You could play these old favorites on a bus ride, or on a plane, or whatever strikes your fancy. It's more than just a "gameboy".

Did anybody already try SuperMetroid, Secret of Mana or Secret of Evermore on the x51v?
(yeah, I'm heavily into the old RPGs)
I'm still undecided whether to get a x50v or x51v and emulation is a major factor for me.
(and they cost roughly the same, only 15euros difference)
