A04 and Windows Media Player

Ok, I've upgraded to A04 and I must say that I am pleased that soft resets are no longer a constant chore for me. However, I did notice a problem after I upgraded; most likely the first among many.

It seems now that when I play a file in Windows Media Player, skipping to the next song now takes a little over five seconds when before it took less than one.

Has anybody else been experiencing this lag after upgrading to A04?

Ok, I entered a Dell chat session to tell them about this issue with Windows Media Player. Surprise! Surprise! The Rep wanted me to do a hard reset. I had just updated the ROM!!! Are hard resets the cure all solutions for these guys?

So a second question to add to this thread: Has anyone ever received actual help from a Dell Cust. Service Rep in the online chat sessions? And I don't me in helping you procure a replacement Axim, I mean an actual solution to your current problem(s).

I'm running A04 and WMP skips tracks quickly for me. I'd seriously try that hard reset: perhaps you've installed something which is messing it up?

I have had little success with Dell Tech Support. I had a video issue with my desktop and they wanted me to do a fresh install of Windows! I quickly got off the phone and figured out my own solution.

Do you have the power set to Auto, or maximum performance?

I was inspired by the reset thought.
Tried it.
NO JOY!

It's running at Maximum Performance. I think it is a problem with Media Player. When I play files with TCPMP, it switches to the next song in only 2 seconds. Why don't I just use TCPMP you ask? Becuase I can't quickly filter songs by artist or album with it. They build in that feature, and I'd be set.

Well, despite my better judgement, I went ahead and did a Hard Reset. Nope. Didn't fix anything, now I have to go through the trouble of reinstalling my application again. Oh, and another thing, I didn't notice this at first, but there is also a lag when using the volume controls in Media Player. If nobody else is having this problem, perhaps the ROM didn't update properly.

Cn anyone lead me out of the darkness? I cannot open my video media player email. Also, I cannot open the disk player port / door on the face of the Dell computer tower. I think the problems are related, but
I do not know how to proceed; short of buying an entire new computer...
Help> ? And Thanks...
