I just want to say that in about 3 months, I've not see a single instance of screen corruption, but I might jsut not be going the right places...

Stability, I'd give it an 8 out of 10, it does crash, a lot depending on what programs ar running. But in genneral if you dont try anything stupid like running a QVGA-only program in VGA mode (turns out sometimes the controls are hard-coded to be certain spots ont he screen and you end up being unable to exit the program!) it runs fine!

I've had a few issues with programs not working, I've had issues with having a lot of programs open slowing down my Axim like molasis (by this I mean about 6 programs up at once) but I dont have a problem togeling between then; I use Magic Button and it's taskbar doesn't miss a beat! it even shows all the allert windows that pop up!)

I use mine for a little of everything, videos look AWESOME on the VGA screen, compared to the old QVGA X5 I have, games work well (Morphgear fan here, amazed that my X51v runs it fine, while my X5, when OC'd to the same speed (and thus alsmot identical specs) lagged and skipped and made it impossible to use!). Have had no problems wiht the PIM software except user-stupidity (tapped 'only show names starting with "S" or soemthing and then turned it off and later turned it on and thought I'd lost all the names not displayed!) Internet surfing is noticably slower than on my laptop/desktop, but with 64MB ram and a 624mhz processor compared to a 1.3ghz with 1gb and a 3.0ghz with 1gb, I'd expect it to be slow...

Over all I'm very happy with my X51, though admitantly I didn't have a PDA per-se before, I had a "electronic organizer" which coudl sync PIM info with a desktop, so...

I have had my X51v since September and its been really good to me. I have only recently had problems with the device shutting down due to the battery latch opening even when it does not. The slightest movement can trigger this and I don't know why. Anybody know?

Boy am I glad I read this thread! I just ordered the X51v and can't wait to get it. However I was a little uneasy because of all of the problems that I have read about on this site and on other review type sites. The coments here make me feel a lot better. Except some of you got a really good price for your units!

Me too! I ordered mine about a week ago and was starting to freak out reading all the posts!
But to be honest it can't be to much worse than my Palm T3. It crashes all the time and now the digitizer is starting to drift and I can't fix it. I'm looking forward to my new Axim.

I'll jump on the Me-Too bandwagon. I just got an X51 and just joined this site.
So far my Axim has performed well, but does not have much on it other than
the software it comes with. This is my 1st PDA and so far I'm happy and it has
not done anything unexpected.
