WM5?? X50v vs. X51v

I own a X50v that I upgraded (or downgraded ) with WM5. I really like WM5 except for all the bugs and I've been watching this forum on a daily basis (when I'm not tweeking my unit trying to keep it alive) waiting for Dell/MS to offer a fix. Since this hasn't happened, and may never happen in my lifetime, I was wondering if my WM5 bug problems would go away if I bought a X51v?

Since I haven't been following the X51v issues, I'd like your opinions.

Thanks for any help,

Jim

I haven't followed the problems closely on both devices but I think most are present on both. Unless you are seriously ill, the fixes will come along in due time and within your lifetime.

I expect that the fixes need to come from Dell.
Friends with i-mate devices running WM5 report no problems whatsoever. This is clearly a Dell implementation (driver) problem related to the x50/51 series.
A fix will come.

I cant really comment on the performance but what I would consider is how either configuration is supported. I would think that MS and the independant programmers will be more focused in optimising current applications and optimising them on the latest Microsoft operating system.

What issues you see just now I would like to think will be resolved soon and using X51V with WM5 will help to future proof your product.
