Serial Cable and the X51v - Please help

Hello Guys

Could really do with your help here.

Looking to buy an Axim X51v, but one of the priorities of buying one is to find a way of configuring a switch using a hyperterminal program and a Serial Cable.

I know there are plenty of bits of software to do this, but keep reading contradicting comments on serial cables.

If you know if this is possible, or better yet - the cable I need, I will forever be in your debt. (not literally you understand :))
