Wake up times exceeding 15 seconds on x51v

Hey guys. Whenever I start my axim after a power off (not full power off, but tapping the power button) it goes on the today screen and sits there, and doesnt let me do anything for 20-30 seconds usually. I have pocketbreeze, pocket weather and pocket plus on the today screen. But ive seen many people with more than that and they've never had a problem. Are there any settings I should change?

I would try disabling all today screens and see if that improves. If it does, try enabling one of the today screens and retest. What other software do you have installed? Maybe one of them is the hang up.

I had the same problem. Have you ever used Odyessey Client? If you did, thats probably the reason why. The only thing that works is to do a hard reset, and never touching it ever again.

yes i too had the same slow start up, after i had waited for about a minute, the x51v works fine and is very quick. i found that
removing programs one by one to find out what the cause was, was the answer, in my case the problem was a instant messenger called "Agile messenger" a great program that does aol,icq,msn,and yahoo.

everything running fine without it installed :)

WOW! I disabled odyssey and now not only does it start up fast, but the whole device just runs faster.
