Full Power Off
Is there a way to add a button for Full Power off on the Today screen, instead of having to hold the button at the top of the device down?

You should check out psShutXP, it's ppc software which can place an icon on your status bar with the option to shut down, soft reset, turn off the screen and even hard reset.

why don't you just adjust the settings in the "power options " ???==>>> set it to 'FULL POWER OFF"
no need to hold .... one push and it's fully off !!! :)
LOL.. I cannothelp but laugh about your post ... either way it's still required 1 movement on your part...doesn't it ???
not the busiest man !!! ... maybe the LAZIEST man !!!! :D

Its already set to Full Power Off! This means i have to hold the button down for 3-5 seconds before i get an on screen notification that im trying to Full Power off the device, and that any unsaved work will be lost etc etc, then i have to click OK. This ISNT what i am after. If i can disable the notification message then thats fine! What i am after is a 1 click button to completely turn my device off.
If i 1 click atm it puts it into a sleep/standby mode, which means when i hit the button again it brings up the today screen. This isnt FULL POWER OFF in my books!
Straem, thanks for the link, but while it has some useful features, it doesnt do a full turn off, it puts it into sleep mode, which isnt what im after, i can already do that when i hit the power button!

x51v as it says in my profile!
When you hit the power button after its 'off' what happens then? Does it boot up with the dell screen, mw5 screen then today/password, or does it go straight to the today screen?

Exactly, thats NOT full power off, thats putting the device into standby/sleep mode! Which isnt what im after!
You wouldnt hit the power off button on your pc, and the next time you turn it on, expect it to be sitting on your desktop waiting for you to begin would you?
Perhaps pda's and pc's are different in this manner, but to me Full Power Off means....Full Power Off!
EDIT: Like i said i havent had the device long, so i dont know the effects on having the device in either of these off modes in regard to Battery Draining! If your telling me that having it in this standby/sleep mood doesnt have any effects on the battery, than, thats great news! But, if it does, then its not the solution i was after ;)

Well I've just had my first 'cant turn x51v on' issue! This was using the sleep mode when im not using it, instead of fully turning it off! Will give it a few more tries, but if this is a sign of things to come then, i wont be using this option ;)
