AnthaVPN demo is DANGER!!!!! for WiFi

I have tried AnthaVPN Demo in my x50v.
and after test, uninstall. then WiFi dosn't work anymore.

it seems to work,it can find some existing network,
but actually it can not connect to any network.
my Notebook's WIFI cannot find the x50v WIFI.
and the "configure wireless networks" page dosn't exist in "Setting". and the Icon on the top of the screen can not come
out.
I try many methord to resolv it. nothing help

I try to reinstall it again, WiFi works again.

Is anybody has the same problem as it?

how can i uninstall AnthaVPN Demo without damaging the WiFi

Don't install it, crappy software that does not uninstall cleanly. It renames your some registry names and leaves it Antha name all over the place. Do a search for Antha in your registry and you'll see what I mean.

I can confirm this problem as well. I have reported it to the manufacturer but they do not seem interested in troubleshooting the issue further. It appears to be device specific because AnthaVPN works fine on my AudioVox PPC6600 SprintPCS phone/PDA (still can't get it to create a stable tunnel with a PIX 520, but that is a different issue entirely).

Best advice: buy Sprite Backup....its worth every penny...it saved my butt from a complete rebuild when I ran into this glitch...

Does the same on x51v with the current version too. Nice. I can't believe they mark this as being compatible with the Dell Axims. Really not good.

I realize this is old and in a different forum than for my device, but I also experienced this same problem with uninstalling Movian VPN on my x30. WiFi refused to transmit data even after supposedly connecting to two different networks. -_- I'm glad my school doesn't require VPN use for wireless usage, but if I could only get rid of the darn program now...may have to spring for Sprite Backup or just do the laborious thing of individual reinstalling of everything else.
