Internet Capabilities

On the road, how can a X51 connect to the internet besides using wireless from a place like Starbucks. Is there a way to use a phone service's internet connection on the X51. I am looking to use this with the GPS navigation system also, so if this has any affect on the answer.
thanks

You can use BT to access a GRPS cell phone, BT to access a PC that is enabled for network sharing, you could buy a GSM\GPRS CF card and put your cell phone's SIM card in it, ....

I use BT to my GPRS-enabled cell phone, myself.

However, I have no current practical experience with GPS.

You'll want a roaming connection with GPS so you'll pretty much have to use GPRS or 3G. If you have a cell phone that supports one or both of these and has bluetooth, that's the route to go down. If not, go for the CF card as AKAJohnDoe suggests.

Don't expect it to be very fast though - GPRS is typically too slow and expensive to do any real surfing or download, it's more designed for WAP and text pages, but you can download other things if you're willing to wait and pay lots for it. If you can use 3G that's more like broadband but it's still expensive.
