You can sync activesync using IR, which means no wires, but it's kinda slow.

My laptop does not have BT, so this is my only option aside from moving the docking station around, but even so, I do not really need to synch with my laptop, as I have a desktop centralized for all work/correspondence.
However, it would useful for file transfers. Also I have an IR printer (no clue at all how to access that feature on the device) so maybe I could print.
Last, it seems like it could be an entertaining challenge (at least for a couple of hours)
