Unlocking X51v to change registry

It seems as though I cannot change the registry settings on my new Axim 51v. I make the chnages using several registry editors but whenever I soft reset, the changes I applied dissapear.

I have read that some Windows Mobile phones need to be 'unlocked' I have tried applying the same principles to the Axim but have failed. Anybody have any answers?.

Appreciated

Hi

I haven't had any problems using resco's add in or PHM power toys, the Axim has no locking of registry just some protected entries.

What are you trying to change?
Are you doing a soft reset using software or the button at the back? Nobody seems entirely sure why but there appears to be two different sorts of soft reset!

After changing the registry setting, press the power button to turn off the PDA which will trigger the registry setting to be flushed. Then soft reset.
