Battery Life tests for Streaming media to x51v

Hey guys. I am now conducting battery life tests for Orb media streamer. Http://orb.com

it is an app that indexes the media on your computer and gives you a secure web interface from which you can stream all of your media to your laptop or PDA.

So far I have tested it with WIFI on (needs to be as connection) Screen brightness at lowest before being off, and Processor on Auto, and headphone audio with volume 100%

The amound of playback time for that is 175 minutes.

I am now testing it on power saving processor, and will report back later when the tests are available.

Bluetooth use less power than wifi?

I wonder if you get longer battery work using bluetooth than Wifi.

There is no wifi at my work So I use a RF Output Power: Class 1 Zonet bluetooth dongle connected to my work PC and the axim accesses the web through it.

Description on the tiger direct site says the range is
Working Distance: 328ft (100m) in free space. It would seem that this would only increase the distance in one direction (download) In my quick tests the range is pretty good.

But the question is does it save any power over wifi

I think bluetooth is less power consuming because it is PAN and wifi is LAN
