I can't believe none of the threads I read prior to installing WM5 mentioned this little tidbit. It now appears that the D-Pad action for PIE has forsaken scrolling in favor of acting like the Tab key on a regular computer. In other words, it jumps to the next hyperlink or control on the page.
I use my Axim to browse while I lay in bed at night because it's easier to hold for long periods than my laptop. In fact, it's one of the uses I had in mind when I bought it.
My frustration with 2003se was that I couldn't browse one handed. I could scroll once I got to a site using the D-Pad and that was great. But I couldn't go back without clicking on the back button, and I couldn't cycle through the links to select them either. I kept thinking, "If only the D-Pad would let me scroll using up/down, and let me cycle through hyperlinks with the side/side." Okay, so in WM5 they solved my problem after a fashion by letting me press the Back soft key, but now scrolling is gone. Arghhhhh!
I poked around the registry and didn't see anything other than something called...I can't quite remember: 4-way navigation or something like that which was simply set to 1.
Does anyone know how to assign different D-Pad actions for PIE using the registry, or simply bring back scrolling on the D-Pad?
