New x51v... cannot restore backup... please help

Just got my x51v, got it all charged up, downloaded A04 & updated... all looks good. EXCEPT when I try to restore my contact data, it just says "no backup file exists" even though I can see it on the SD card in file explorer. The info file with A04 said after the update, a file from previous OS could be restored. This backup is from Pocket PC 2002 (Toshiba e330). PLEASE tell me I don't have to enter them one by one to get them into WM5. Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm going crazy here trying to get the new axim up to speed. Thanks.
jim

PS: Also, my buddy here has a Dell with PPC 2003 and it will not recognize the backup either, same message.

Question WM5 Restore

Surely someone has tried to restore their data from a previous OS. Is it not possible? Thanks.

I've had this problem several times using Dell's built-in utility. Then if I manage to point at the file I get an error halfway through the restore saying there is not enough room to restore. Basically, that built-in utility has never, ever worked for me. Not even once. I can't wait for Sprite to work out their WM5 version. I am a little dissapointed that they did not have a compatible version ready to go. This OS upgrade was not a surprise. They knew it waa coming.

It is not possible to restore from a previous version OS to WM5. Doing a sync should restore all of your contacts and calendar but everything else will have to be done by hand. sorry

Oops. I didn't realize you were looking at different OS's. Nothing can do that; however, I would like to have ANY working back-up system right now. Dell's has not worked on any of the Axim's I've tried and Sunnysoft is flaky. I want my Sprite back! Maybe if I have a temper tantrum....
