Big Smile Sending/Receiving Files thru WIFI

I am interested in being able to send and receive files thru WIFI to my own wireless network.

Does anyone know how to do that on an Axim X50v?

First, you need to make sure you have set up your network correctly. Read the excellent WIFI guide (http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=86191) to help you with that.

The second thing you have to do is make sure your pda has a microsoft legal name. The default name will not work. Preferably change the name before you do a sync, then you wont have to delete the first connection to make the new one with the new name.

If everything is working correctly, sharing files is actually quite easy. The using file explorer (somewaht cumbersome) or Total Commander (Freeware) or Resco Explorer (Commercialware, but perhaps the easiest), type in your server name (\\servername\directory\subdirectory\) and browse. You will be prompted for user name and password and off you go.

If you have specific questions after you read the guide, I'm sure there will be plenty of folks here to help.

Search is your friend, but if it fails ya, aximites are friendlier.

Or use GSFinder+ and use its network connection feature. Adds a "Network" pseudo-folder to your pda that can be accessed from any program.
