Potential Buyer

I am looking into purchasing an Axim. I am deciding between the X51v and the middle of the road X51. I understand that there is a difference in the quality of the screen and the processor. Are there any other specifications I should be aware of when chosing between the two devices? Also, if you could reccomend one device over the other, please give me a reason why I should buy it.

Thanks.

Difference between the X51V and the X51MID are three things
X51V X51MID X51 LOW
CPU: 624MHZ 520MHZ 416MHZ
Video: VGA(640X480) QVGA QVGA
RAM: 256MB 128MB 128MB
ROM: 64MB 64MB 64MB
802.11B: YES YES NO
BLuetooth: Yes YES YES
CF/SD Slot: Yes Yes Yes
The Low end X51 shouldn't be an option if you are a power user and wants wifi connection unless you want to connect wirelessly using bluetooth which is not bad but not my cup of tea

I say if you have the money go with the X51V Cuz I love my X50V and i do not want to know what the regular display looks like-Hope i helped u with your decision making process

Most common uses:

Internet while traveling (coffee shops, airports, etc.)
PowerPoint presentations
Word documents
playing media
possibly GPS

Which model would best suit my needs. I don't intend on going crazy with it, which is why I am considering the X51, but for only about $90 more I can get the X51v. Is the screen and processor worth it?

From what I understand, the resolution for some programs is 4 times better. However, a lot of software has not yet been written for VGA, which negates the screen upgrade for that specific application. Some of it will look beautiful, however.

Also, if you intend to use it for watching videos or sharing pictures it might be a good idea to go with the the VGA screen. I went with X51v because I figure it's such a small screen anyway and for things like viewable browser area, that's valuable real estate. But then, I spent 300 extra for a top of the line res on my laptop...
